TOPIC: ASTONISHING MIRACLES
SCRIPTURE: “And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.” (Luke 8: 56)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when Jesus had raised the daughter of Jairus back to life. The parents of the girl were simply astonished. What Jesus did was astonishing to them. What they witnessed was the sort of miracle that their minds could not comprehend. What they witnessed was such that they had never seen before. What Jesus did for them caused them to be astonished. They were amazed by the miracle they got.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are about to receive that miracle that will cause you to be amazed. You are about to receive that miracle that will cause your head to swim. You are about to receive that miracle that will confuse everyone who hears about it. You are about to receive that miracle that will blow your mind. You are about to receive miracles that will be special and notable. You are about to receive astonishing miracles.
You may have witnessed divine intervention that seems familiar and normal to you, but in this season, you are about to receive that miracle that will cause you to wonder what just happened to you. You are about to witness that divine manifestation that will shock you on all sides. You are about to receive that miracle that will break every known record you ever saw before now. You are about to receive that miracle that will be astonishing.
When Jesus shows up, He causes astonishing miracles to come forth. When Jesus shows up, He causes men to move from bottles to wells. When Jesus shows up, He causes water to become wine. When Jesus shows up, He causes the impossible to become possible. When Jesus shows up, He causes a mere five loaves of bread and two fishes to feed a multitude. When Jesus shows up, He does what literally astonishes everyone who hears it.
Welcome to your season of astonishing miracles. Welcome to your season of special and notable miracles.
Amos 9: 13 (MSG) says: “Yes indeed, it won’t be long now. God’s Decree. Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once- and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills.”
